AL_A’s MPavilion 2015 shortlisted for a WAN Award

It was announced today that MPavilion has made the shortlist again for the famed WAN Awards (World Architecture News)—this time in the Small Spaces category.

The WAN Small Spaces Award is a specialist category that celebrates small-scale architecture. With diminishing land availability, decreasing budgets and real estate at a premium, it falls upon architects and engineers to create ever more imaginative solutions to small-scale structures. The award recognises the most inspirational of these projects: designs that deliver novel, aesthetically ambitious ways of maximising space within a minimal footprint.

MPavilion 2015, designed by Amanda Levete of London-based studio AL_A, has been shortlisted among a group of esteemed international projects including Camera Chiara by Annabel Karim Kassar Architects; PULS by TomDavid Architecten; Story Pod by Atelier Kastelic Buffey; Reflects by SILO AR+D; and Brick–topia designed by Map13Barcelona.

It’s a wonderful achievement. Congratulations, AL_A!
