Melbourne Music Week

Melbourne Music Week (MMW) is an eight–day–long program of imaginative events that celebrate and support the city’s world–famous contemporary music scene (which, coincidentally, recently helped rank Melbourne among the world’s top music cities). Driven by its vision as a uniquely Melbourne event—it’s the only event of its type in Australia—MMW teams up with a range of independent promoters, venues, labels and businesses to create exclusive opportunities and experiences for artists and audiences alike. From record-label parties in underground car parks to dance sessions in tiny cafes (and, this year, breakfast-time gigs at MPavilion), the program is a direct result of the depth and diversity of Melbourne’s creative music industry. In 2015, Melbourne Music Week runs from 13 to 20 November.
