Performing Mobilities

Performing Mobilities is a program of experimental arts projects that explore tensions of mobility. Curated by Mick Douglas, the series of expositions, mobile performances and a four-day symposium seeks to explore and critique what it means to perform movement—the forms it creates, the forces it pushes against, what it means and what arises out of it. From 25 September, creative journeys—including guided tours, silent interventions, musical performances and shopping-trolley internet radio broadcasts—between RMIT Gallery and VCA’s Margaret Lawrence Gallery will explore and reimagine movement, place and event with local relevance and global resonance.
