Superstar have mixed deep dirges and warbling drones with glistening, pastoral pop in varying degrees, both live and in recordings, for eight years now. They’ve played throughout Australia—including special events at ACCA, MCA and the Sydney Opera House, and two afternoon listening parties right here at MPavilion as part of our 2014/15 season. Their second, six-song LP, Table for Two—released in 2015 on Melbourne label Bedroom Suck Records—saw coastal melodies and soft instrumental washes added to their sultry, slow-pop palette.
