Tamara Kohler

Australian flautist Tamara Kohler is a soloist, chamber musician and inter-disciplinary artist. A strong believer in the transformative power of the arts, she is equally as comfortable in the orchestral pit as she is in the cross-collaborative world, having worked on projects with Victorian Opera and the National Gallery of Victoria, and performed live with the Raah Project and Philharmonia Australia—alongside Olivia Newton-John and John Farnham. Most recently, she recorded flute, piccolo and alto-flute on Packwood’s debut album Vertumnus. Tamara is a founding member of contemporary Melbourne ensemble Rubiks Collective, and in 2016 will further her studies in Berlin and Malmo as a recipient of the Keith and Elisabeth Murdoch Travelling Fellowship.
