A smooth afternoon with Mouth Tooth and Sweet Whirl
Sun 20 Dec 2015, 4.00pm–6.00pm
Bring your weekend to a leisurely, relaxing close at MPavilion with late-afternoon live sets from two sweet bands: the sensitive post-folk of Mouth Tooth and the dreamy electronica of Sweet Whirl.
Mouth Tooth – a collaboration between actor, filmmaker and artist Rhys Mitchell and Smile guitarist Max Turner – make ‘outsider pop’ music that meditates on loneliness. Their soft, slow songs express the melancholy of heartbreak and love lost.
Sweet Whirl is the solo songwriting project of multi-instrumentalist Esther Edquist, of the duo Superstar. Hovering in ethereal electronic soundscapes, Esther’s deep, mystical voice weaves narratives of times lost and truths considered: one voice from the choir of humanity.
The Kiosk will also be serving toothsome mouth candy, in the form of beer, gin, whiskey and soft drink.
