Two of Melbourne’s more quixotic beatmakers take control of our digital forest for the final Friday night of our 2015/16 season. Briztronix is writer Ben Eltham moonlighting from his day job, creating electronica and instrumental hip-hop with Brisbanite DJ Bacon. R U F F L E S takes fragments of long-forgotten albums and mixes them with scraps of today’s unknown heroes to create parties full of impossible bands and pure chance. Together, the two acts are responsible for the infamous Rezo BlockParties and the BitCat electronic explorations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. This Friday after work, expect brash, bold sounds and back-catalogue samples as your week winds down—and our program winds up.
