A visual artist based in both Brisbane and Perth, Dan McCabe explores the contemporary Australian suburban and urban landscape—most notably via scratchy pastel marks layered on top of his own moody photography, but also through assemblage, installation and in collaboration. Dan completed a Bachelor of Fine Art with Class 1 Honours at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, in 2012, and has been included in a number of solo and group exhibitions, including at A-CH Gallery, Griffith University Art Gallery, John Paynter Gallery, Queensland Centre for Photography, Perth Centre for Photography, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Metro Arts, Ryan Renshaw Gallery, Moana Project Space and Perth Fashion Festival.
