Peter Brew

Peter Brew is a lecturer in architecture and urban design at RMIT University. He has practiced as an architect in Melbourne for nearly three decades; he founded FIELD Consultants in 1994 with fellow architect Michael Markham—a practice which won both the 2000 RAIA Victorian Architecture Medal and the Harold Desbrowe-Annear Award for Michael’s own home, Holyoake Cottage. Before, during and after his time at FIELD, Peter’s practice has been shaped by the difficult problems it has faced: climate, location or environment. Peter is currently completing a PhD at RMIT exploring the format and function of ideas in architecture.
