Conrad Standish is/was the half of Melbourne-based Standish/Carlyon that contributed the serpentine bass lines and louche falsetto to their dark, experimental synth pop. Along with Misha Hollenbach, he was also one half of iiWii, the DJ duo who delivered not one but two of the most memorable musical highlights from last season’s MPavilion calendar. Conrad’s latest venture, an abstracted situation entitled CS + Kreme, is a collaboration with Sam Karmel of F ingers and Bum Creek. A four-track 12″ is due out extremely soon on Total Stasis (LA)—hit play on their just-released debut video below. Conrad returns (solo) to MPavilion this Friday to DJ an evening of psychedelic soundscapes that might even call you to jump up off your rug and dance.
