Rose Hiscock

In February 2016 Rose Hiscock will become the inaugural director of Science Gallery Melbourne, an innovative venue for science and art collaboration planned for the heart of Melbourne’s new innovation precinct. Science Gallery is an award-winning international initiative pioneered by Trinity College, Dublin, that delivers a dynamic new model for engaging 15- to 25-year-olds with science.

Rose is committed to building a vibrant and accessible sector that values arts and sciences. She is a board member of Back to Back Theatre and Chunky Move. Prior to joining Science Gallery, Rose was director of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, which includes the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. She previously held the role of executive director of arts development at the Australia Council and, prior to that, at Museum Victoria.
