HTRK

HTRK is Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang, a Melbourne duo with three critically acclaimed studio albums and multiple EPs under their industrial, post-punk, electronic belt. Their most recent album—Psychic 9–5 Club—was written and recorded in Sydney, Melbourne and New York City from 2011 to 2013, and is out in Australia through Mistletone Records. Evoking emotion with equal amounts of expression and restraint, HTRK’s music encourages close listening and contemplation. It also lends itself well to collaborations: they teamed up with Chunky Move at the inaugural Supersense Festival in August 2015 for a performance,  directed by Anouk van Dijk, that aimed to “reinvent the relationships between sound and body, gesture and word”.
