Vladislav Kanevsky

Russian-born designer Vladislav Kanevsky studied visual arts, majoring in drawing, before graduating from RMIT University’s Bachelor of Design (Fashion) in 2012—with first-class honours. Since then, Vlad’s graduate work has exhibited around Australia for Woolmark, and he himself has worked as a stylist, a creative consultant and a fashion buyer. The foundations of his master’s collection are subjective and non-universal notions of taste; he juxtaposes aspirations and imitations with luxury fashion ideas of ‘generalised good taste’, masculinity and narcissism.
