100 Story Building

Based in Footscray, 100 Story Building is a centre for young writers with a mission to provide free creative writing programs for the most marginalised children and young people in Melbourne’s west. These result in some incredible publications and productions, including Early Harvest, a literary journal created by and for children.

With ninety-nine floors underground, accessed via a trapdoor, 100 Story Building is also Melbourne’s deepest building. However, due to recent strange, subterranean growths emerging from under the trapdoor, workshop activity has been limited to the top floor of the building.
