West Space

Founded in 1993 and centrally located in Melbourne’s CBD, West Space is a non-profit artist-led organisation that provides a creative and responsive platform for the development, exhibition and contextualising of local, national and international artists’ work. Blending the creative freedom and risk-taking of an artist-run space with the professional infrastructure of a contemporary art institution, West Space annually presents a critically engaged artistic program of exhibitions, performances, events and publications (online and print), as well as public and educational programs, artist talks, workshops and lectures.
