Australian Art Orchestra
The Australian Art Orchestra has been challenging genres and entertaining audiences with cross-cultural collaborations since 1994. Founded by Paul Grabowsky (initially as a jazz orchestra), the orchestra has a strong reputation for interpreting new notated works and breaking down the barriers between forms, disciplines and cultures—as seen in their mashing-together of Western and Asian influences. At MPavilion, as part of Melbourne Festival, they will deliver a characteristically exciting performance laced with improvisation and eclectic genre blends.
