CAUL (Clean Air and Urban Landscapes) Hub

CAUL Hub is a consortium in the National Environmental Science Programme, established in 2014 to undertake environmental research. Its mission? To take a comprehensive view of the sustainability and liveability of urban environments. With expertise in air quality, urban ecology, urban planning, urban design, public health and green infrastructure, the Hub’s interdisciplinary research teams—from the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, the University of Wollongong and the University of Western Australia—work to reduce the environmental impact of buildings and transport. Similarly, CAUL Hub’s Indigenous Engagement Programme collaborates with Aboriginal people and communities living in cities to understand how their culture and knowledge can improve urban places and spaces.
