James Andrews

James Andrews is an emerging Australian dancer and dance maker. Raised in Sydney,
he moved to Melbourne to complete his Bachelor of Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2009—where he was the inaugural recipient of the Lionel Gell Foundation scholarship. Since graduating, he has worked with a number of companies and independent artists including Chunky Move, Lee Serle, Stephanie Lake, Antony Hamilton, Adam Wheeler and yGlam Queer Youth Theatre Project. James is an artistic associate of 2ndToe Dance Collective, has appeared in Shian Law’s award-winning and critically acclaimed work Body Obscure Object for the 2012 Melbourne Fringe Festival, and performed at the 2015 Winter Feast for MONA’s Dark Mofo.
