Megan Evans

Megan Evans is a multidisciplinary artist who works in video, photography, sculpture and installation. Her work, which began life in the form of political murals, is informed by social issues—it examines the nature of belonging and the impact of colonisation on identity. Over the last five years she has exhibited both locally and overseas, has been published widely in books and journals and has received international residencies—she was recently the resident artist at the Royal Standard, hosted by the Liverpool Biennale through the Australia Council Residency program, and followed this with another residency at BoxoProjects in Joshua Tree, California. Megan’s recent solo exhibitions include Meet Your Criminal Ancestors at the Royal Standard, Simplicity at BoxoProjects, and To Bee at BoxoOffice in New York.
