Nur Shkembi

Nur Shkembi is a contemporary Muslim artist, curator and writer. As the art director and exhibitions manager at the Islamic Museum of Australia, she works to raise community awareness of the arts—with a focus on Australian Muslim artists. For two years she held a position on the Arts and Culture Committee for the Parliament of World Religions, and she is still an active proponent of the arts in Interfaith. Nur is a member of Arts Victoria’s Museums, Cultural Heritage and Cultural Development Advisory Panel, and holds a Masters in Community Cultural Development from the Victorian College of the Arts.
