Unconscious Collective, ‘Motel Dreaming’, Dark Mofo 2014, Tasmania

Unconscious Collective is a collaborative group of artists who work in sound, movement and digital art and design. Initiated by social theorist David Patman and artist Michelle Boyde, in collaboration with artists Jason James and Matt Warren, Unconscious Collective was responsible for the acclaimed social sleeping and dreaming experiment ‘Motel Dreaming’ at MONA’s Dark Mofo in 2014. They returned to Dark Mofo this past June to curate and creatively direct ‘Wild at Heart’, a road trip and 24-hour sleepover event in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain wilderness region.
