Open daily from 10am, they’re featuring beans by Melbourne roasters Allpress for espresso, and First Press Coffee in the cold drip. Feel free to stop and stay or take away! For lunch, the Thieves are collaborating with deli maestro Tony Nicolini of D.O.C., who’s designed a range of easy-to-carry picnic kits and sandwiches, to wash down with a Capi soda or mineral water. For after-hours events, the bar stars local makers: beer by Sample Brew, gin by Four Pillars and whisky by Starward.
Founded by Athan Didaskalou, Three Thousand Thieves began life as a subscription-based coffee club, mailing out special deliveries sourced from the city’s unique small-batch roasters. The company has since grown into a food collective with a bit (shall we say) of a cult following, and a mission to unearth Melbourne’s best cuisines, flavours and makers.
