Gina Levenspiel

Born in the Central Coast town of Wyong, New South Wales, Gina Levenspiel is a durability research architect currently completing her PhD—The Poverty of Conservation: Architecture, materiality and the Burra Charter—at the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation.

Since 2006, Gina has written detailed (unpublished) building histories of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Federation Square and Preshil—the Margaret Lyttle Memorial School. Her most recent written work, Miracle Swamp, is an eighty-page illustrated history of the Queen Victoria Gardens, the home of MPavilion, and is fittingly published by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation with support from the Gordon Darling Foundation.
