Tom Skeehan is an industrial designer and director of Skeehan Studio, a commercial furniture, lighting and product design practice. From his base in Canberra, Tom creates deceivingly simple designs that showcase building materials rather than overshadow them. He focuses on the lived experience of his pieces over the long-term, and creates products for the home that tell a story and are built to last. Tom’s fascination with simple and precise workmanship reveals a very considered and traditional approach to design: why make something that you wouldn’t want to keep forever?
