Our 2015 MPavilion opened on Monday! In no less than 34-degree heat. Before Victoria and Albert Museum director Martin Roth’s official opening at 10.30am—and before the mercury soared too high—we invited some amazing grammers to join us for an MPreview. They walked, talked and Instagrammed in and around our digital forest, seeking out unique vantage points, creating abstract shapes, discovering dreamy shadow-play—and even meeting some tiny, buzzing visitors. Thanks to everyone who contributed, and especially to Lou Hubbard and her students…
Thanks to Radar Kane at Flying Dragon for this sneak peek of #MPavilion at sunset. Nothing beats a drone’s eye view! Music on this video by Addam Kane. If you’re free this Tuesday night at exactly 7.28pm, please join us for Sunset Ritual’s official debut. Bring a rug and watch AL_A’s gently swaying structure create scattered halos of light, synchronised to a sound piece by Matthias Schack-Arnott.
We’re almost up! Press play below for a behind-the-scenes look at the final stages of construction and an interview with AL_A associate Alex Bulygin, who’s here to oversee the build this week.
